Portuguese ALMA Community Days 2016

14 & 15 March, 2016, Porto, Portugal

The Portuguese ALMA Centre of Expertise, hosted by the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences, is glad to announce the Portuguese ALMA Community Days to be held on the 14th and 15th March 2016 in Porto.

The workshop aims to inform and instruct the community about the coming ALMA Cycle-4 (call open on 22nd March, deadline on 21st April). Please, register until 1st March.

The workshop will start around 11am to allow for the arrival of participants from different locations.

WORKSHOP TALKS and ACTIVITIES:
– The observatory ALMA;
– Science in the ALMA-era (two science talks);
– Proposing for time and the Observing Tool;
– Observation simulations;
– Science discussion (bring your science case);
– Face-to-face Q&A and hands-on.

FEE: No fee is required.

VENUE: Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço, Rua das Estrelas, 4150-762 Porto
