IMPRS Heidelberg invites graduate students and postdocs to its 8th Heidelberg Summer School.

This school will focus on fundamental topics in high energy astrophysics, highlighting recent observational and theoretical progress. The three primary lecture courses will cover the major radiation processes, particle acceleration mechanisms and relativistic magnetohydrodynamics, and discuss their relevance for our understanding of astrophysical objects such as supernova remnants, pulsar wind nebulae and active galactic nuclei. Highlight lectures by prominent experts on specific topics will complement the program.

Invited lecturers are:
John KIRK (Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics)
Malcom LONGAIR  (Cambridge University)
