Resumo
In order to determine the relative and absolute composition of an atmosphere we need to have in our pockets a set of tools that can simulate that atmosphere. HITRAN (High-Resolution Transmission Molecular Absortion Database) is an online database with billions of line transitions :absortion cross-sections, line-by-line data, collision-induced absortion, from UV to Infrared, NEMESIS (Non-linear Optimal Estimator for Multivariable Spectral Analysis) is a general-purpose tool that calculates a model atmosphere, based on an initial composition guess and on the spectroscopic parameters provided by HITRAN. In this presentation, i will talk about these two tools and their importance for High Resolution Spectroscopy.
