kima: detecting exoplanets with radial velocities

Finding Earth-like exoplanets with the radial-velocity (RV) method is difficult, both because of the intrinsic low amplitude signals they create, and because of complicated RV variations of the host star itself. These challenges require analysis tools which can extract the most information from RV measurements. I will present kima, a new package dedicated to the analysis of RV data. kima combines models for the Keplerian signals caused by planets and the quasi-periodic stellar activity signals, within a principled Bayesian framework. The output is an estimate of how many planets are supported by the data, and the complete characterization of their orbital parameters. The code is open-source and available at github.com/j-faria/kima.
