Resumo

The highly complementary fields of exoplanets and asteroseismology allow for many synergistic observations. With solar-like oscillations detected in thousands of stars with the Kepler and K2 missions, we are entering an exciting era of study. In this talk I first review the state of exoplanets and the benefit asteroseismology has been to the exoplanet field. I then move to discuss some of my results utilising asteroseismology in the study of exoplanet host stars, particularly evolved stars, both transiting hosts detected by Kepler, and refining the masses of so-called "Retired A Stars", detected by radial velocity surveys, using K2 observations. Finally I look at where asteroseismology will take us in the future.
